Haviland

Let me start by saying I love dishes, especially old dishes! Last week I was in a local antique store and found these old Haviland plates, the mark on the back dates them to 1888-1896. I have been searching high and low trying to find at least two more for my collection, Tom took me to every antique store in the Somerset area, I found one more in a different pattern, the hunt for more Haviland has become an obsession.

Weekend Fun

Having a weekend getaway is by far the best money that we've ever spent! The boys had a blast tubing and watching Daddy learn to water ski, they missed their buddy Zach but he'll be back next weekend. I can't believe that the 4th of July is just around the corner, we are planning a party at the lake with friends I can't wait!

Hobby Lobby

I finally made a trip to Hobby Lobby yesterday, it was so worth the 1 1/2 hour drive, I bought $325.00 worth of merchandise for $130.00! Needless to say I have been playing with my new toys all morning, here is a run down of what I bought:

On Thursday I went to the local hardware store to buy paint for my bedroom, dining room and kitchen while I was there I thought I would check out the "mismatched" paint, I found a gallon of black paint for $5, a gallon of blue for $5 and the paint manager gave me 15% off my new paint. My total savings for the week was $260.00!!!

H20+SUN+FRIENDS=FUN

We had a great weekend on the lake! Saturday we boated with friends from the campground and had a great dinner at Grider Hill, yummy! We built a campfire and roasted marshmallows with the children. Having a little weekend getaway is priceless!

Sweet Summertime

School has been out for a little over a week, yeah!!! The boys and I have been swimming and sleeping late. We have been to the lake a few times, we are hoping to go this weekend for a little getaway.

We are still caring for Tom's grandparents, thankfully, things are getting a little easier. I have started taking medication for my thyroid and hope to have some relief in the near future.

My Spring projects have now become summer projects, at the rate I 'm going they may become fall projects, LOL!!!

Happy Birthday

Today is my darling husband's 38th birthday, he is the most wonderful husband and father any woman could ask for, he is patient, kind and always there for his family. I love you Tom, have a very happy birthday!!!
