Tom & I had a wonderful week long vacation without the children, this is the first time we have left them for more than two nights. We spent a few days at the lake, visited the Amish country, shopped our way through Pigeon Forge we stayed at The Inn at Christmas Place it was fabulous!! I can't wait to go back again this winter.
I can't believe that it is only four months until Christmas, YIKES!!! I'm trying shop earlier & wiser this year.
The boy's school starts next Wednesday, they are so excited to see their friends and meet their new teachers. This summer seems to have flown by.
Tomorrow will be one year since I had my thyroid removed, I feel like I have been given my life back!!!

I loved hearing about your trip to the lake. I googled the place you stayed and it looks gorgeous. My daughter wants to go to Tennessee one day. I would love to visit amish country too. We recently had a tv show where some young amish kids came to England for a few weeks and stayed with 4 different families. It was so interesting as they also showed much of their life in Ohio. Glad you are enjoying summer with your boys. They look to be having so much fun with the boat.

I'm so jealous! I've always wanted to go to stay at the Inn at Christmas Place! But where my hubby works for Hampton Inn and gets such good rates, he never even considers staying somewhere else! :( And where around here is Amish country? Sounds like you had a great time. What I wouldn't give to get away with my man for a few days alone....sigh
