Busy Week

Even though it's only Wednesday I have been so busy and it is only going to get busier! As of 11:30am this morning both of my sons have confirmed cases of the flu:( Tom's grandfather's diabetes is spinning out of control from the chemotherapy, so I have to go give him insulin 2-3 times a day and I have started cooking a hot meal each day for them. If anyone has any great casserole recipes please email them to me. My doctor and endocrinologist both agree that my thyroid needs to be removed because the left side has enlarged since my last CT scan and now lymph nodes are involved, the surgeon feels that it doesn't, now I'm waiting to see another surgeon and a thyroid specialist. Please keep our family in your prayers.

We are having a beautiful day today, it makes me want to go to the lake, open the pool and lay in the sun!! I'm wanting to plant a small garden with tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce and onions, does anyone have any tips for creating a small garden?

Have a great day!

Thanks for stopping by. We have had a few warm days here in Central Indiana, but that is about to change. Snow (I can't even believe I am typing that word!) is in the forcast for Monday and maybe Tuesday. Yikes!

My daughter will be 3 on July 1st. I love your new summer digs. Looks like you will be having some fun, relaxing times!

Have a great week!

Even though you posted that on April 1, I have a feeling it wasn't an April Fool's joke!! I'm so sorry for all the difficult things going on, and I hope you've found some resolution on at least some of them!

Here's an EASY dinner idea (that I found in the comments on somebody else's blog). In my family, it's known as Easiest Chicken Ever. Take some boneless, skinless chicken breasts; and put them in a baking dish. Open a jar of sun-dried tomato alfredo sauce (I think it's made by Classico, but I'm not sure), and pour it over the chicken. Bake until done (45 min. or so?). If desired, serve over cooked pasta (we usually have rotini with this). That's it! We all like it, and it really couldn't be simpler.

I hope things are looking up for you!
