Weight Loss Tips

LOL, I am not the to go to for weight loss tips! Kelly's Korner is hosting Show Us Your Life Friday so I thought I would join in on the fun.

You see I have struggled with my weight all of my life, there have only been about 4 years of my life that I was a "normal" size and that was still considered big by most people's standards ( I wore a size 12-14). Now I'm wearing 18W-20W depending on the brand of clothing, I'm 5feet 9inches tall so this helps with the distribution a little.

I wake up every morning of my life starting a diet and by 9:30-10:00am I've already broken the diet. Since my thyroidectomy in August I have lost about 8 pounds just by watching a little and getting a little exercise. I firmly believe in Weight Watchers and am a card carrying member, hopefully I will get back into the groove of things and get back into a size 14(one of these days), we also have joined a gym as a family, we try to go three evenings a week to walk and play with the boys.

I guess my motto is, "Never Give Up, One Day It Just My Happen"!

On a brighter note, today is my youngest son Jonah's 9th birthday, Happy Birthday Jonah
We love you!

Blessings on your weight loss journey. I also am tall.....right at 5'10". I never struggled with my weight, until I statted to college and met my husband. I actually could stand to gain some weight at that point, so I gained 15-20# and still was okay......then we married and I gained and gained. So, I know how you feel. I also wear an 18. I started the 30 Day Shred dvd and i think if I don't loose the weight with that I just might die from the soreness. LOL!

Happy Birthday Jonah! Blessings!!!

I'm sitting here thinking...I miss 18's! LOL I've been in a 22-24 for so long, I can't remember a time when I was in a 20 or an 18, although I have clothes in my closet that are 18's and 20's. When I got married 13 years ago, I can remember trying on a 16 and it being pretty tight, but fitting...."sigh." I don't even know what weight I'd have to be to get into an 18 again? Oh, and I'm almost 6 feet tall. 5'11 and 3/4"! So, even at 200, I still look pretty good. But the last time I remember liking how I looked, I weighted 164 and was wearing 11-12's. I was pretty skinny. But I was also like 15 years old! LOL My goal at this age is to get into a 14, if I go lower than that, that'd be awesome. Right now, I'm just trying to get to 200 (an 80+ pound weight loss)

I also struggle with weight and have for most of my life. It seems harder now that I am hitting menopause, it's all going to different places! Can you say belly? :)I don't have the energy I once did for exercise, but I am sure if I started I might have more! I also have a 3 yr old (he was born when I was 50) and he saps me, mentally and physically! I believe in Weight Watchers, also, but right now I can't afford it or a gym, and I don't have a sitter even if I did! I'm about a size 16 (sometimes a 14W) and would be really happy to be a size 12! Guess I have to believe like you, Michelle, maybe someday it will happen!
Happy Birthday to my smart, sweet, adorable nephew Jonah!!
